People wake up every day and commit to helping their most loved person in the world. They make the time, they pay the money, they make the calls. They ignore and dismiss the burden, and end up feeling incomplete if they don't accomplish everything they set out to accomplish. I want to wake up every day and help these people; that’s why we founded Helpful.
I have tailored my nursing career to arrive at Helpful. I spent over a decade in acute care before pursuing home health, where I saw the abundance of care that unpaid family caregivers provide and their struggles to keep doing so safely and sanely. Family caregivers don’t need more facts and stats or articles on what they should do. They don’t need constant reminders that what they do is hard. They need validation that what they do is effective. They need to be able to manage expectations. They need more how-to, when, and with what, which is the aim of Helpful.
As an engineer at a healthcare start-up, I'm fueled by a passion for making a difference in people's lives. I wake up every day with a deep sense of purpose, committed to creating solutions that help loved ones. I believe in the power of technology to simplify complex challenges and alleviate burdens. At Helpful, we're dedicated to making a positive impact and helping people feel complete by accomplishing their goals.
I’m so grateful to be part of a company with an important mission—to provide support for caregivers. Having gone through the experience of having a close family member suffer from terminal cancer, our family was all too familiar with the lack of resources available for family caregivers. Being at Helpful is a rewarding experience, as it allows me to help caregivers in their journey and to reduce the amount of time spent on administrative tasks, enabling them to spend more quality time with their loved ones.
